Dr Chris Brown has called it a day. The search is on for the next ‘Bondi Vet’.
Initially, there was a field of 50 candidates. Public popularity selected one finalist and the production company short-listed another four, including our own Dr Lewis Hunt (BVSc 2007) who has now had his screen test and awaits the final decision!
Many say that he looks a lot like the outgoing celeb, but will that help or hinder his chances!? Whatever the case may be, good luck Lewis!
Anyhow, what has Lewis been doing since graduation?
After six months working on the Gold Coast, he undertook a surgical internship in Melbourne, then three years locuming in the UK, before settling into a small animal practice in London. He returned to Sydney in 2013 to work in both emergency medicine and general practice. In 2014 he joined the Collaroy Plateau Veterinary Clinic, buying the practice in partnership with Caroline Wood in late 2015. In his (infrequent) spare time, Lewis can be seen speeding around on his bicycle, or frequenting the coffee shops of the Northern Beaches, clad in Lycra.
