The Melbourne Bachelor of Agricultural Science class that commenced their studies in 1955 and had their second year in residence at Dookie Agricultural College in 1956, gathered at their old watering hole Naughtons Parkville Hotel. A slightly more subdued luncheon affair was held, and provided the opportunity to catch up and swap stories. The Dean, Professor John Fazakerley enjoyed afternoon tea with the group and spoke about the revised Bachelor of Agriculture course and renewed focus on agricultural studies at the University. As a parting gift, Professor Fazakerley gratefully received a commemorative hat complete with the group’s unique logo of a cow jumping over the moon, which legend indicates was a reference to the likelihood of the entire cohort passing the course!
