Cattle and sheep research at the University of Melbourne focuses on production animal management and welfare. Our research team has expertise in a variety of fields including parasites and diseases of sheep and cattle.
The Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences, University of Melbourne has a commitment to the sustainability of livestock industries in Australia through research, as well as capacity building of veterinarians. Management and production of ruminant species is also one of our research strengths.
As well as directly benefiting farming communities, insights from our research are integrated in to the curriculum for the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
