This exciting new program introduces participants to the culture and commerce of the global wine industry, via a hands-on field trip through the ultra-premium wine regions of France.

Global Wine Studies is delivered by an outstanding team of academic and industry practitioners. In particular the course is fortunate to have secured Ken Chase as part of the delivery team. Ken is currently a wine consultant for American Airlines – the world’s largest airline – where his role is to select fine wines for various routes paying close attention to menu pairings, as well as the ethnic, cultural, seasonal and stylistic differences of each destination.
The Professional Certificate in Global Wine Studies is delivered by the University of Melbourne in Australia and also during an outstanding field trip through the ultra-premium wine regions of France where participants experience the culture and traditions of the French wine and food industries first hand.
The Professional Certificate comprises one 25 points subject - Exploring French Wine, Food and Culture.
This subject is designed to provide an outstanding international educational experience to complement the combined learning of prerequisite subjects that form part of the entry requirements for this course (successful completion of any two of the following three subjects - Australia in the Wine World (AGRI20030) or Vine to Wine (AGRI20027) and Wines of the World (UNIB30008).
