Please Note: This course is not available to international students.
- A Bachelor of Veterinary Science (usually honours level) or recognised equivalent qualification. All students should be aware of the University’s English language requirements.
- Students must be eligible for general registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria in accordance with legislative requirements to practice as a veterinarian in Victoria.
Students enrol in this course on a part-time basis. Students enrolled in the Master of Veterinary Studies may enrol concurrently in the Master of Veterinary Science (Clinical) (by research) as part of the residency training program.
The Residency Training Program is available only for Australian and New Zealand citizens and Australian Permanent Residents.
Each year the Faculty issues a call for applications, usually in July.
Applicants to the program will be evaluated on the basis of their written application, an interview (for short-listed candidates) and referee reports. Successful applicants will have: a veterinary degree that is registrable with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria; good written and verbal communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills.
