Victorian Poultry Welfare Research Prize (Application Required)

Introduction

The Victorian Poultry Welfare Research Prize was established by the World Poultry Science Association - Victorian Branch to support students undertaking research projects on poultry welfare.

This prize could assist a commencing Bachelor of Agriculture (Honours) or Master of Agricultural Sciences student, who can demonstrate academic achievement, with study and living expenses.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this prize, you must:

  • be studying or commencing a Bachelor of Agriculture (Honours) or Master of Agricultural Sciences
  • demonstrate academic merit and potential to succeed
  • express an interest in poultry welfare
  • provide details of your proposed project, which includes the potential impact and relevance to improving poultry welfare.

Payments

This prize is paid in a one-off lump sum after the standard semester one census date.

Conditions

Recipients are expected to attend an award ceremony. Failure to attend (without extenuating circumstances) may result in cancellation of the prize.

How to apply

Please attach your statement as a typed document, no more than one page in length, addressing your interest in poultry welfare and the quality of your proposed research based on its impact and relevance to improving poultry welfare.

Please provide details of academic merit.
