Communicating Science Research

This workshop will cover some of the key elements of effectively communicating research to a variety of audiences. Grant writing, presentations, media and other areas of communication for researchers will be discussed, along with techniques for giving and receiving valuable feedback.

Morning tea will be provided after the presentation.

Presenter: Dr Shane Huntington

Dr Shane Huntington has been broadcasting science on 3RRR for the last 27 years. For the past 10 years he has been working in strategy roles in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor. Before that, he worked as a physicist for 10 years. Shane has trained thousands of researchers to communicate and has successfully run his own company since 1999.
