Partnering to Respond to the Challenges of Tomorrow: Industry-Researcher roundtables

Forum Theatre (153), Level 1, Arts West - North Wing, Royal Parade, Parkville

Join us to celebrate and profile the importance of Faculty partnerships in responding to the challenges of tomorrow.

Professor Anna Meredith, Head of Melbourne Veterinary School, and Professor Herbert Kronzucker, Head of School of Agriculture and Food, will introduce the day, highlighting and discussing the significance of the Faculty’s collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to tackling challenges at the nexus of human, animal, plant and environmental wellbeing.

After a short break for morning tea, industry guests and researchers will participate in industry-researcher roundtable sessions that will focus on key challenges in:

  • Animal health and welfare
  • Plant and soil health

Academic leaders from the Faculty will facilitate these two sessions with the aim of developing cooperative responses to the challenges discussed. We are pleased to be able to host a number of Faculty partners at these roundtable discussions, including representatives from Zoos Victoria, AgriFutures, Meat and Livestock Australia, Horticultural Innovation Australia, Boehringer, SAI Platform, Australian Processing Tomato Research Council, and the Cotton Research Development Corporation.
