Enrolment Changes
Reduced Study Load
If you withdraw from a subject, make sure it is not required as a pre-requisite for subjects you intend to study in the future or that it is not required as a co-requisite for subjects you are currently studying.
For students in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and in Honours programs, reducing your study load is not permitted.
If you are a graduate researcher, please refer to the information on the Graduate Research Hub.
Reduced study load and course extensions for domestic coursework students
If you are a domestic student, you do not have to put in an application for a reduced study load. A study load of at least 37.5 points (3 subjects) in a standard semester is considered a full time study load. A study load of less than 37.5 points in a standard semester will be considered part-time study. If you are not sure what impact this might have on your study pathways, contact Stop 1.
Reduced study load and course extensions for international coursework students
As an international student on a student visa, you are expected to complete your course by the course end date on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). If you need to reduce your study load, please read the guidelines here. You must seek approval from a Student Advisor prior to making changes to your enrolment.
